Scary, backing up the last 800GB of data to the “failed” 2TB drive. I hope I won’t have to rely on it for the restore, but if I lose this data, nothing important is really lost, I’ll just have to re-ripp a lot of DVDs. All the important stuff (photos and videos) are on multiple drives in multiple locations.

AAAAAAGGGGGHHHHH! Finally get things straight and now I can’t write to the Drobo. “Please backup your files an restore.” The Drobo is the backup and long term storage. It won’t let me even delete files I don’t want/need so I can clear up space. This has been a long week in file storage and now a long weekend of copying files to externals. Photos and video are already backed up in multiple locations.

An entire day of hard drive cleanup. Fortunately the failed drive was part of the RAID and covered under warranty.
